My friend and I visited the Botanical Garden in Aarhus for the first time, and if you haven't seen it before, it basically looks like a great glass dome and a connected building on top of a grassy hill. But once inside, you go from the nature of danish woodlands to desert areas and then to tropical forests with butterflies flying everywhere.

So, this is the story of Tage who went missing for four weeks when a move-in-with-me plan went terribly wrong. And to make it worse, it all happened during the winter and in completely unknown terrain for Tage. There are some perks in this time span though, as we (my family) got our new puppy Tyson and so, he could lighten up the sad days. And yet, not even a week after Tyson had moved in, we get Tage back home! And with new little Tyson and Tage home to keep things going, everybody's happy again! And here is the full story of the incident (yikes) and reunionSunday, 12th of November 2017, my parents came to Aarhus with my cat Tage. They were going on a vacation for one week, and therefore I could try to have him at my place with the intent of having him living with me afterwards. He was fairly used to wearing a leash, so while he stayed, I could walk with him a bit so he didn't have to stay inside constantly.
Tuesday 14th of November, Tage had been home all day in my apartment and was going nuts from being trapped inside. He goes for a walk in a leash right next to a forest just outside the door and is very eager, but still afraid of bikes and strangers. Tage hears a door shutting and protests against going forward and starts to back away - until he backs right out of the leash! And gone he is! ... The new troublemaker of the house! After a long time of thinking, considering, and feeling sad due to the complete silence in the house after our dear, old dog Basko passed away, my family and I ventured to Fyn. And here, on the 9th of December 2017, we got this little sweetie - Tyson! He's a Labrator Retriever and more specifically an American Labrador, so he's got tons of energy and is incredibly fast. Playing, running, cuddling, eating - he loves it all! Here's a couple of photos of innocent-looking little Tyson: Now, time goes fast and how much a puppy can grow in only 6 months is mindblowing. So we don't have a little puppy in our lap anymore, but a full-grown dog sitting on us and still wanting all the love he can get. But as he grew bigger, he could also do more stuff, and one of the things he loves to do now is swimming! So when my parents and sister moved to live by the sea with him and Tage, it was a dream come true for him! Beautiful scenary, swims, and lots and lots of other dogs to play with.
At the end, here is a few more photos of Tyson - 'til next time! The evening 14th of December 2015, my mom called my name. I didn't know what was going on. Even though my birthday was day after that, I had no idea what was waiting for me in the hallway. My whole family was gathered and my mom had turned her back to me, hiding something. "Happy Birthday," they told me, and my mother turned around with the fluffiest and smallest kitten I'd ever seen! I burst into tears and got so happy for my new kitten, Tage. He is now (April 12th) around 7 months and gosh he has grown big! He's a feisty little cat who will definitely become a great hunter ones he figures out how to catch a dove. My cat, Theo, got ill with his eye around November 2015. We had him put to sleep and every day seemed so empty without him being around. So my family got me Tage, who keeps poking my face and the computer screen as I'm writing this - better get going then! I'll leave you with a bunch of images of my dear Tage - enjoy! |
